If the customer wishes to purchase satellite imagery, they may use the TerraFly web tool to identify their area of interest, the user marks the area by drawing a box around it. A preview of the selected area is shown to the customer along with detailed information about the area selected, such as total square miles/kilometers, date of acquisition, etc. If the customer wants an online price quote, they can fill out an online form to specify their requirements. This information is used to calculate an online price quote for the customer and estimated shipping date. If the customer chooses to purchase the imagery online, the proper department at the NASA RAC will receive email notification of the order and the customer will receive an order confirmation number online and over email. The customer will also have the option to phone in their order.
